Google Goes Mobile: Gphone Or Android?

Gphone? Nope, not yet may be, or may be not. I don't know, people speculated about it but it's all up to Google.

Instead, Google has unveiled their software, Android, that it hopes will power a variety of future mobile phones and boost the web on the move. The software will make phone cheaper as it is design to speed the process of making mobile services.

Android is the first truly open and comprehensive platform for mobile devices. It includes an operating system, user-interface and applications -- all of the software to run a mobile phone, but without the proprietary obstacles that have hindered mobile innovation. Android is developed in cooperation with the Open Handset Alliance, which consists of more than 30 technology and mobile leaders including Motorola, Qualcomm, HTC and T-Mobile.

This Google's system will be based on computer code that can be openly distributed among programmers, allowing them to build new applications. A development tool kit for working on the new platform will be released next week.

Watch video of Android creator talking about it.

From the news, they said that mobile phone with Android should be on the market possibly in 2008. Well, I think this should make mobile internet even more cooler, yeaahh!!! :)
